Recipe | Protein & Oat Bars

Today i want to share with you all a recipe i have made for some delicious protein oats as a tasty snack!
I'm super happy at how these turned out, so simple and so tasty! They are a great alternative for other unhealthier snacks. I used a mixture of healthy ingredients including rice protein that contains fibre too, which is why its better than the traditional whey protein powder. Rice protein helps muscle recovery which is why it's so great after a workout due to the amino acids. Also by adding rice protein you can burn calories faster as they take a lot more energy to digest.

The thing i love about this is that is very easily adaptable for each person and there are no strict quantities or measurements, its all down to guessing and trial and error. However, i have put together some measurements to make it easier and to make these bars i used

  • Rasins/sultanas
  • clear honey
  • rice protein
  • flaxed almonds
  • peanut butter
  • chia seeds
  • almond powder
  • porridge oats

To make these you will first up need to mix all the dry ingredients
- the protein powder (2 tbsp), raisins (2 handfuls) , oats (100g), almonds (25g of solid almonds, 25g of almond powder) and chia seeds (2 tsp)
Mix these all together in a bowl and then add in a 2 tsp of honey, 1 tbsp of peanut butter as this will help bind it all together.
I then put the mixture on a tray and popped it in the oven on 180 degrees for about 10/15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
