A Week At Centreparcs

I have just got back from spending a week away at centreparcs longleat with Charlie. It has genuinely been THE best week of my life. It was Charlie's birthday present, a week away at centreparcs with me. We had the most perfect little apartment where we spent our evenings cooking and relaxing. We spent the days sat on the little beach, drinking cocktails, playing badminton and table tennis and swimming all day long.
It was SO lovely to just relax and totally chill out after a stressful few months.
On Monday night as we were eating dinner I found out that I had got the apprenticeship I applied for and interviewed in London. This was such amazing news, so we headed straight to las iguanas and drank cocktails to celebrate. Waking up and heading straight to the pool for a swim, run round the rapids and trips down all the slides was amazing. Then getting back and making a picnic to take down to the beach with us was so lovely, we drank this amazing pitcher called English garden lemonade, which was citrus juice, lemonade, elderflower and gin and it was incredible! So refreshing on a hot sunny day, we were so lucky with the weather, it was hot and sunny everyday and we definitely made the most of it. We cooked loads, I made scampi, homemade chips and peas from Charlie's garden cooked with leek, spring onions and cheese. Another night I did salmon on a bed of pak choi (from Charlie's garden) with noodles, sweet chill sauce and sesame seeds. On the last night I did stuffed chicken with chips and Charlie made a side of sautee lettuce. For lunch we had bacon sandwiches, burgers and other little nibbles.
The best bit for me was simply spending amazing quality time with my best mate. We both work loads and although we see each other often, we don't often get away just the two of us. But this has definitely made us realise that we need to do it so much more often as we had an incredible time together.  I took loads of photos, mainly on my disposable camera so I haven't got them yet, but here are some of my favourites.
